Prof. Petia Radeva,

Prof. Petia Radeva is a Full professor at the Universitat
de Barcelona (UB), PI of the Consolidated Research Group “Computer Vision
and Machine Learning” at the University of Barcelona (CVUB) at UB
(www.ub.edu/cvub) and Senior researcher in Computer Vision Center
(www.cvc.uab.es). She was PI of UB in 4 European, 3 international and more
than 20 national projects devoted to applying Computer Vision and Machine
learning for real problems like food intake monitoring (e.g. for patients
with kidney transplants and for older people). Petia Radeva is a
REA-FET-OPEN vice-chair since 2015 on, and international mentor in the Wild
Cards EIT program since 2017.
She is an Associate editor of Pattern Recognition journal (Q1) and International Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation (Q2).
Petia Radeva has been awarded IAPR Fellow since 2015, ICREA Academia assigned to the 30 best scientists in Catalonia for her scientific merits since 2014, received several international awards (“Aurora Pons Porrata” of CIARP, Prize “Antonio Caparrós” for the best technology transfer of UB, etc).
She supervised 18 PhD students and published more than 100 SCI journal publications and 250 international chapters and proceedings, her Google scholar h-index is 44 with more than 7600 cites and WOS h-index: 79.

Prof. Axel Sikora,
Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Ing. Dipl. Wirt.-Ing., is a
professor at Offenburg University in Germany, where he serves as scientific
director of the Institute of Reliable Embedded Systems and Communication
Electronics (ivESK). Also, he is deputy member of the board and head of the
business unit Software Solutions of Hahn-Schickard Association of Applied
Research, one of the leading state-funded research institutes in Southwest
Prof. Sikora has around 20 years of experience in national and international R&D projects. He is author and co-author, editor and co-editor of several textbooks and of more than 180 scientific journal and conference papers. Also, he is member of the steering board of the Embedded World Conference, the largest European conference on this topic, scientific advisor to the annual Wireless Congress and "Internet of Things"-Conference, and organizer and program committee member of multiple other conferences.
His major interest is in the system development of efficient, energy-aware, autonomous, secure, and value-added algorithms and protocols for wired and wireless embedded communication.
Prof. Orlando Belo

Orlando Belo (www.di.uminho.pt/~omb) is Associate
Professor, with Habilitation, in the Department of Informatics at University
of Minho, Portugal. He is a member of the Department of Informatics at
University of Minho since 1986, and a member of the ALGORITMI R&D Centre, at
the same university, working in Business Intelligence and Business
Analytics, with particular emphasis in areas involving Databases, Data
Warehousing Systems, Data Analysis, and Data Visualization.
During the last few years he was involved with several projects in the decision support systems area designing and implementing computational platforms for specific applications, such as fraud detection and control in telecommunication systems, data quality evaluation, and ETL systems for industrial data warehousing systems. He received a 5-year degree in Systems and Informatics Engineering in 1986, done “Provas de Aptidão Pedagógica e Capacidade Científica” (MSc equivalent) in 1991 in Expert Systems, finished its Ph.D. thesis in Multi-Agent System in 1998 in the Department of Informatics at University of Minho, and got his Habilitation in 2013 in Data Warehousing Systems. He published several scientific works, most of them in international conferences with peer reviewing, related to his main researching areas, with particular emphasis in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Warehousing Systems, On-Line Analytical Processing, and Data Mining applications.
